I have managed to bring up 2 lovely sons alone, who are now
grown men and I am soon to be a grandma - I have got myself
educated and trained as a socialworker and latterly as a
University Tutor having taken semi retirement (although
still very busy!) but my success in finding a soul mate
following my divorce some 20 years ago nearly has not been
so successful but not for the want of trying!! Although I
see myself as successful in life, and I am an independent
lady I still would love someone to share my life with now I
am more able to appreciate a more stressfree existence! I
am a mixture, I can be extrovert and am certainly not shy
but I do love intelligent conversation and think about
things quite deeply and care alot for my fellow human beings
who fall on hard times as I know what that is like. I guess
I would say I am kind, compassionate but have had to fight
for what I have so I dont suffer fools! I love a good laugh
and putting the world to rights over a drink and I love the
theatre, travel (especially cruising) and good food! I cant
abide superficial and false people, and those that look no
further than the surface to get to know someone. |

I am a good height and a size 16-18 - I am no skinny chic
but neither am I morbidly obese - I describe myself as
"rubenesque!" I like to think I am attractive, and have
been told I am - by sober men too!! I have large expressive
eyes and still have a waist despite being larger. I am
comfortable with who I am and want to meet someone who does
not dismiss meeting me because I am not a size 10! I am a
casual but smart dresser and like to keep up with trends
without looking like mutton dressed as lamb! I know what
suits me and do not try to squeeze into styles that dont! |

Sincerity, genuineness, humour and kindness are all values I
respect and want in a man. I dont want one night stands as
am seriously looking for someone who wants to get to know me
well. I would like someone who takes care of their
appearance - I dont mind (and quite like) a stocky man but
am open and accept chemistry has many forms! I would like
someone who has an ability to converse well and be quite a
confident person. I am not into sports but would love
someone who enjoys live theatre, concerts and travel too.
As long as they live within 30 miles of myself that would be
manageable. I dont mind their religion but would prefer if
they didnt hold strong religious views as I am not overly
religious more spiritual as a person. I would prefer my
partner to be over 5ft 9 if possible.Please dont reply if
you havent posted a pic of yourself too - why should you
look at me when I cant look at you!!! And I believe some men
are "feeders" I dont need to be any bigger it is no good for
my health so please...if this is your "thing" fine but I am
not the girl for you - otherwise I am pretty open to being
open!
